Denia and Els Poblets
Once Els Poblets was a small little village - today it streches down to the shore. In the meantime Els Poblets and Denia are melting into another. In the coastal region mainly residential areas were built, with restaurants and little supermarkets - therefore it is the ideal holiday resort. From Els Poblets to Oliva you are enjoying a particulary beautiful dune-beach.
At the beginning of Costa Blanca the city Denia is situated. Denia is imbedded between the majestic mountain Montgo and the Mediterranean Sea. The mediaeval face and flair of the town center could be preserved. On clear weather days your view from the top of the castles reaches as far as up to Ibiza. There is a daily ferry across to Ibiza.
Denia is surrounded by groves of oranges. In the mountainous Hinterland groves of almonds change along with groves of olives – alike all the other coastal places. The broad sandy beach moves from Oliva to the sports- and fishing harbor of Denia upwards the coast. On the other side of Denia the border to the city of Javea is drawn by a spectacular steep coast, which is a perfect place for snorkeling and diving.
There is a wide variety of activities concerning water sports for everyone to select from.Of course, Denia also offers a lot of different possibilities to amuse and enjoy yourself if you prefer it more turbulent and eventful in your holidays.
Discos, Flamenco shows, boat trips to the Aqualand and Terra Mitica of Benidorm, surfing school, international diving school, big sports- and fishing harbor, excellent restaurants, the stroll over the ”Marques de Campo” with noble boutiques, and numerous local Fiestas.
Treat yourself to a visit of Denia's castle - the splendid view over Denia, the harbour, the sea and the surrounding mountains is overwhelming and worth the trip even in July and August (see below). On Denia’s southern side creates the landmark of Denia and Javea – the impressive massiv of the Montgo - a natural border and delimitation between these two cities.
